Getting married at the Château de Breteuil

When I met A. and S. for the first time, they havn’t picked their location for their wedding day yet.

Only later on, I’ve learnt that they will celebrate their love at the Orangery of  Chateau de Breteuil, in Paris area (in the 78), Chevreuse valley. It’s a beautiful place, located in a beautiful area, and A + S love story is worth such a gorgeous decor.

How did A and S meet ? They were roomates ! So in the end, they always lived together, how nice, right ?

Cute love story 🙂

Enough talking about it, let me show you how great that day was ! 🙂

The Breteuil castle is definitely a place where I’d love to go back to celebrate weddings ! 🙂

What I loved best ?

The maze !!!

I’ve been dreaming for a very long time to see one for real, and I’m glad this place had one.

At least, I get to take photos of the bride and groom there 🙂

Volunteering for the elderly, for Christmas

Just like the song says, “donner pour donner, c’est la seule façon de vivre, c’est la seule façon d’aimer” (to give just for giving), it’s the only way to live… it’s the only way to love…

I’ve been thinking about volunteering on Christmas day for several years, but this year 2012, that was the right time for me to do it.

So I’ve decided this year, to volunteer for the organisation “LES PETITS FRERES DES PAUVRES“, on December 23rd and 24th 2012, in order to help them and spend Xmas with them.

1 day to get the room ready, and the 2nd one to celebrate Xmas, with about 15 elderly personn, that the organisation takes care of.

I had quite a moral dilemna since, as to publish or not this article, and to show you some photos.

A kind of reserve of decency toward these personns, their lives, that I don’t know, or so little of, but also their situation, that led them to be there on that day, with us.

Loneliness, lack of security, dependency, disease can touch us all at a moment or another. Old age too.

and sometimes, the only fact of living on the 3rd floor of a building without elevator, can totally mess up a life, the day you can not climb or get down of these steps… 🙁

But looking at a 90 years old woman, with shiny eyes when she opens her xmas present, it’s priceless  🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂

I’m touched, blessed, and very glad to be part of this moment.

I’m lucky…. lucky to have sang “vive le vent” (jingle bell)  with all these personns, sharing lyrics with the woman sat beside me.

Until that day, I didn’t know the lyrics of this song 🙁
